REA VAYA bus services ceased to operate on 14 February in an unprotected action at approximately 12:00, when drivers employed by the contracted Bus Operating Company (BCO), left their duties to return to the depot at Dobsonville.

The reason for this action is not yet clear.

Management of the BOC, employing the drivers, is currently in the process of communicating with its drivers to facilitate the commencement of services.

Rea Vaya will keep the media and the public updated with the progress made by the BOC to get services normalised again.

Rea Vaya wishes to apologise to all Rea Vaya passengers for the inconvenience caused by the unprotected action by the drivers.
