After the festive season holiday schedule, Rea Vaya buses are back to their work-day timetable, transporting busy commuters across the city.
WITH the new year in full swing for most Joburgers, so are Rea Vaya bus services – normal operations have resumed and commuters either heading for work or school can get there by bus.
Bus schedules were changed during the festive season, and the company reports that it is already a step ahead in 2012.
Rea Vaya's operations manager, Jeff Ngcobo, said: "All systems are in place. Buses are back to their normal operating schedules, even though a lot of people are only coming back [this] week, especially the students, but for those who are already back, the buses are available."
As always, tickets can be bought at any Rea Vaya stations or at clearly signposted, selected shops near the stations. But they need to be bought with cash. Tickets must be bought before trips are undertaken.
Commuters can also check the operation schedule here or ask for help at the stations.
To ensure commuters have a voice, Rea Vaya has a call centre. For general enquiries, please call 011 375 5555 or sms 43687, and for emergencies call 011 375 5911.
