Construction along New Canada Road
Road users should be aware of construction activities on New Canada Road, between Colin Drive and Orlando Road. There will be no right turns into and from Modder Road and North Street, coming from Soweto or from Noordgesig.
Road users are urged to use alternate routes out of Noordgesig (Colin Drive).
Motorists are also urged to abide by the temporary speed limit implemented for the duration of construction. Read more. [pdf]
Temporary Station Closure for Road Work
The City of Johannesburg Transportation Department and the Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) hereby notifies commuters that there will be construction work undertaken at Lakeview Station. Read more. [pdf]
Road changes
Pennyville residents and traffic passing through the area will have to use the road deviation off the New Canada Road due to BRT construction. Please be aware of increased traffic on Rietbok Street. See the map here. [pdf]
